Workplace

While employers can legally require the COVID-19 vaccine in the workplace, this may not be the best choice for your company. There are also employment laws that protect employees who refuse the vaccine.

Read our blog for more details.

Benefits

Teladoc is doing what it can to support members at this time. You can read more details about what it's doing, get resources, and learn how to access services in our blog article.

Only certain benefits can be added back on after cancelling. Pet insurance, for example, may be added back at any time, while medical would have to wait until the next open enrollment. However, certain COVID-19-related conditions, such as reduction in hours, may create a federally-approved qualifying event that will allow off-schedule changes to your plans. Please contact your benefits specialist for individualized help.

Your benefits will stay active as long as you are an active employee with your company. The employer will pay the monthly cost for your benefits during your leave. Once you return to work, you will need to contact Nextep immediately to avoid all missed deductions being withheld from your first paycheck back after your leave. Nextep's benefit team can setup a payment plan to help you get caught up on any of your missed benefit deductions.
