Open Enrollment
It's time for annual open enrollment! During this time, you may enroll, waive, or make changes to your benefits with Nextep and your company. We're excited to deliver top-notch benefits you and your family count on.
We're pleased to announce some new features this year!
We're enriching our enhanced and enhanced platinum dental plans, adding adult orthodontia to the list of covered benefits. According to the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), 1 in 4 orthodontic patients are adults. With adult orthodontia, you can improve your dental health and decrease potential risk.
We're thrilled to announce an additional new vision plan option! Now, you will have not one but two plans to choose from. Plus, our new plan will make vision care more accessible than ever before at a lower cost.
Also new is a new suite of perks: Lifestyle Benefits. With savings on dining, hotels, roadside assistance, legal, vet services, ID theft protection, gym memberships, and more, you will be able to save on items you interact with every day through this voluntary benefit.

Q: How much does it cost?
A: The costs for each type of coverage can be found on your company's benefits cost sheet or in the online running calculator when you're enrolling in your benefits.
Benefit costs may or may not reflect your employer's contribution.

The lifestyle program is available to all employees on day one of employment, whether full-time, part-time, or enrolled in any other benefits. You can add or drop coverage at any time, and you'll pay the monthly benefit cost directly to the carrier rather through paycheck deduction.
Q: When is my next opportunity to enroll?
A: There are three main periods during which you can enroll or make changes to your benefits:
- Open enrollment: If you miss online open enrollment, your next opportunity will be next year's open enrollment.
- New hires: If you are a newly-eligible employee, you must submit benefit enrollments within 30 days of your eligibility date. Your next opportunity to make changes is during open enrollment.
- Qualifying event: You may also make changes that align with a qualifying event, such as the birth of a child, marriage, divorce, or job loss. Changes must be made within 30 days of the qualifying event.
- Note: A qualifying event allows an employee to enroll or change coverage levels within a plan. It does not allow an employee to switch plans or to make a change that is inconsistent with the event.
